Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 June 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Poplause. By creating an account or installing the widget, you agree to them.
1. The service
Poplause provides social-proof notification widgets that you embed on your website, along with a dashboard, a Management API and an MCP server for configuring them. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login and your site API keys secure, and for all activity that happens under them. Tell us promptly if you believe a key has been exposed so we can rotate it. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Poplause.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- display events that are false, misleading or fabricated to deceive your visitors;
- use the service to harass, defraud or harm others, or to violate any law;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the limits of the service;
- resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.
Poplause is built to show real activity. Simulated events are always labelled as such and must never be passed off as verified, real-time activity.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of the event data and content you send to Poplause. You grant us the licence needed to store, process and display that data so we can provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to collect and display that data, and for complying with applicable privacy laws toward your own visitors.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Availability
We work hard to keep Poplause running, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance that briefly affects availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Poplause is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
You may stop using Poplause and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we may delete your data after a reasonable period.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
